I was reading some of my archived posts and realized what my blog has been missing since April...namely my wonderful roommate Matt! I think my loyal readers were only loyal to matt and not my blog. :-( Fortunately I get to see matt at the end of this month so maybe he'll be kind enough to make a guest appearance and provide some humor to this blog.

Anyway...a week ago was New Year's...hard to believe it's already been a week. So nikki and I decided to go to NYC for New Year's and so we left Friday morning and drove up to Staten Island and from there took the ferry to Manhatten. After walking the streets of manhatten for a couple hours we found Rockefeller Center...then discovered that a sandwich and fries cost almost $18 in NY...outrageous...and finally discovered that at 9pm there's absolutely no way to get anywhere close to Time's Square. But we did get to "participate" in Carson Daly's New Year's Eve show. We left NYC about 2am and drove all the way back to VA arriving about 24 hours after we left...what a trip! it was definitely worth it though!!

Since then I've worked, slept and worked...I think that pretty much covers the highlights. :-) The most exciting thing is that I have leave at the end of the month and get to spend a few days in Dayton visiting Molly, Matt and Chrissy, Katie and Kev, and all my other friends who still get to have fun at CU. I am so excited about going!!

I am also excited about the nice weather we've been having...it seems like the rest of the US is having major winter storms and we're enjoying 60-70 degree weather...guess my snow globe is confused again! :-)

And finally...Happy Birthday to Katie (January 4th) and Kevin (January 13)!!!
