Well, I just finished my first week of camp...the first week with campers that is. The first week I was here was staff training week and that was pretty cool. It was good to get to know all the others before the kids came cuz I we don't get to interact much during a camp week...everyone is so busy!! And we're definitely busy. I am usually at the Nurse's Station/First Aid Center soon after 7am and get "home" around 11pm. I usually have a few hours off in the afternoon to do whatever I want...nap, swim, be a blobber :-) or anything else I find to do. Napping is usually my favorite choice! I am living in a trailer with 2 other guys and that is awesome cuz I have a room to myself and the trailer is airconditioned. I am not there much but it's very comfortable to sleep at night...especially compared to the first week when all the guys were in one cabin together. I guess I am kinda spoiled. I can't imagine being a counselor. There's no way I could handle that. They are responsible for their kids 24 hours a day for 5 days. They are so exhausted today! Still...I am pretty exhausted myself cuz working with kids is tiring and we do work long hours. I am craving the downtime I get this weekend and the chance to talk to people older than 10 or 11! But overall the first week went well and we learned how things work here. This coming week we have twice as many campers so it's going to be another challenging week! I appreciate all your prayers. Continue to pray for me and the other staff here at Scioto...and of course the campers! Thanks!!

Congratulations to Lindsey Ellis, RN!!

Congratulations to Nikki for passing her boards!!

Lindsey Ellis takes hers on June 8th.

Well, tomorrow morning I am off to camp. Hard to believe that it's already been a month! It's been fun living with my family again, though very different, and I am going to miss them! I'll see my parents and Kraig a couple more times before they leave at the end of July. Then it will be a long time before I see them again. :-( Pray for them as they pack up and prepare to leave the US and transition to Bangkok. And for Kraig as he does summer studies at CU this summer and then starts his senior year at Faith in Manila. PTL He has provided 100% of my parents' support (at least I believe they finally reached 100%) Thanks for all your prayers!!

We saw Shrek 2 tonight and I realized that I had never seen the first Shrek...at least I don't remember seeing it. But Shrek 2 is hilarious!! I would definitely recommend seeing the movie. My favorite character is either Donkey or Puss-in-Boots. It's amazing how realistic they can make animated films these days. Anyway...provided a good evening of laughs and was great family bonding.
