Micah and I are in Eastampton, NJ. We spent last night at Matt's in Washington, PA after about a 7 hour drive from Indy and then spent about another 6 hours on the road today. Our estimated driving time for tomorrow should only be about 6 hours but that largely depends on how long it takes us to get through NYC. I am actually excited about driving through NYC though since I have never been there before. We don't really have time to stop there tomorrow but maybe we'll have time to stop after OIS graduation. Anyway, the trip has been pretty uneventful...of course I am very glad about that! It's hard to believe that tonight is my last night as a civilian for at least the next 5 years. Yikes!! We'll be leaving here about 7:30am tomorrow to head for RI. The plan is to pick Nikki up at the Providence airport and then head to the Naval base in Newport and check in together. *deep breath* Don't know if I'll be able to update again anytime soon but I'll try.

Well tomorrow is the day! Micah and I will be heading out before lunch tomorrow. Don't know how much computer access I'll have once I am at OIS but I'll try to write when I can. Stay in touch!

Well, most of my worldly possessions are now on their way to VA...well, I am sure the truck will make many stops before actually reaching Portsmouth. When I say truck I mean a really BIG truck. I was expecting a large U-Haul type truck to show up this morning and load my meager possessions. After giving the driver directions numerous times over the phone he finally arrives in a Mayflower semi-truck!! The truck almost completely blocked the road and I am sure irrated many drivers this morning. That's when I figured out that the driver picks up stuff all around the area and hauls it so they didn't really expect me to fill the truck. :-) I probably used about 1/12 of the truck (that's a nice random guess). But the guy and the lady with him (wife?) were really nice and like the packer yesterday were very efficient. I was a little worried about sending my stuff to the East Coast and not seeing it again for 2 months but so far things have worked out great and everyone has treated me well. So maybe I will actually see my stuff in one piece again in a couple months. :-) Now I just hope that everything that didn't get shipped will fit in my car on Friday! :-)

Wow! It's been almost 2 months since I lasted posted anything!! I only had internet access on the weekends while at camp and that access wasn't the most reliable so I just never got around to posting anything.

Anyway, I finished camp on Friday and spent the weekend in Dayton visiting Molly and staying with Kevin in Cedarville. I am heading to Muncie soon where I'll continue the difficult process of packing all my things so that when the moving company comes tomorrow I'll be ready. Micah will be coming to Muncie on the 12th and we'll be leaving on the 13th to take a leisurely trip out to RI where we'll begin Officer's School on the 16th. Officer's School will be 5 weeks and I think graduation is September 17th. If you think of it could you pray for Micah, Nikki and I as we go through OIS. Right now I am pretty nervous and scared because it is so unknown and totally out of my control. But God is faithful and will give us the strength to succeed.

Camp went well this summer. I was definitely ready to be done with it but overall I had a wonderful time. I made some good friends and enjoyed the time I had with them. Nothing really serious occured at camp...a couple broken wrists (both occured the same week!) and a few kids that needed stitches but mostly just scrapes, bruises and bug bites. The hours were long but things were relaxed and I was able to get a lot of reading in. And of course I was able to get a good tan! :-) It's hard to believe that the 2 months of camp are already over and it's time to go to OIS. Yikes!! Hope you're all having a great summer and stay in touch!

oh, my parents arrived safely in the Philippines where Kraig has already started his senior year at Faith Academy. And I just found out that he got one of the leads in the senior play!! You go bubby!! :-) My parents are in the process of packing their things in Manila and waiting for a visa before they leave for Bangkok. Continue to pray for them as they have many transitions to make!!
